A major medical device manufacturer needed syringes, coming at very high speeds from a horizontal form fill and seal machine, flipped and nested into a corrugated case. The packages needed to be verified that they were placed correctly in the box with 100% confidence and then the corrugated boxes were to be closed and labeled.

A major pharmaceutical company needed automation to produce give away samples. The system was to accept four sided sealed pouches from a vertical form fill and seal machine at very high speeds. It was to count the pouches into a stand up dump bin with precision and have the ability to change the count at any time. It also needed to verify the bar codes on the carton prior to filling it with the pouches and have an optional by-pass mode to allow for bulk filling of cases. Finally the cartons were to be loaded into corrugated boxes and palletized.

A large OEM of off road electronics needed a system to attach connectors on a circuit board, verify the bar code of the board being processed and the connector match, attach the connector to the circuit board with screws, and accept trays of connectors as well as buffer the connectors for increased production. The line must use IPC-SMEMA-9851 mechanical and communication standards for electronics manufacturing, replace the PC based controls with an AB controlled system and operate at twice the speed of the current system being replaced.

A large consumer goods manufacturer needs to package a very high quality product that is produced on eight individual machines. The product needs to be inspected for quality after being manufactured, tracked to ensure coding and tracking throughout the system to the corrugated case, and carried overhead to the packaging system to ensure the cell format of the current factory layout. The product is sold in groups of eight per corrugated case, so buffering is needed to group package similar codes in one case. Two languages must be produced from a single packaging line at the same time during the production run. Finally it must be able to produce a four pack and an eight pack cased product at the same time.
