Fargo Automation Inc. started in 1996 manufacturing custom machinery under the name MKM Automation Inc. In 1999 the company changed the name and its focus strictly to packaging machinery. In 2001 Fargo Automation became a member of PMMI (Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute). Since the beginning, the company has moved three times, expanding the business with each move. The company is located in Fargo, ND near two main intersecting interstates (I-29 and I-94).
